Catering
2010 the Dharamsala Catering will pack its kitchen stuff again into a van and will present a slightly different concept than in the previous years.
The two people who gave Dharamsala it’s shape and form are Gursharan Hundal, a cook from North India and Sabine Winkler, a health coach from Vienna, plus a team of helpers at the selling stands.
We are offering mainly Indian vegetarian dishes on markets, on festivals, at seminars and on private parties from 1st of March 2010. But also vegetarian dishes from other regions of Asia and Europe are part of our programme.
The ideal take away dishes like SAMOSAS and PAKORAS are the main part of our menu plus traditional CURRIES, authentically prepared food from the northern regions of India. All our dishes are cooked from a chef from this particular region so that we can offer a “Real taste of India”.
During the summer months we will have various stewed, chilled fruits and Indian joghurt drinks like mango lassi in our menu. In the winter months chai, organic punsh and special Indian sweets will be offered.
Details about our selling stand:
Selling tent: either 3 x 6 meters or 4 x 8 meters
All our equipment and seats for our customers will fit underneath these tents.
All together we will need 15 KWh electricity for:
- lights
- freezers
- fridges
- fritters
All our dishes are freshly prepared. Therefore we use gas cookers, gas grillers and fritters. For the chilled food and drinks we are using glass fridges.

We hope to get the opportunity to offer your guests Indian specialities and are looking forward to be part of your festival.
Kind regards and best wishes from Vienna,
Gursharan Hundal & Sabine Winkler
